Our Team Captain Erl Erlandson  Erl was our team captain for many years. A very gifted skier, there was no race hill he couldn’t master. Sometimes conditions on the course were very poor but Erl would never complain. He would ski it with a grace not found in many racers. When the race was over he would always be back in the chalet to look after things and make sure that everyone was taken care of. We knew that our team captain was very ill with cancer yet he never once complained. He had the courage to overcome his illness and to be an inspiration to us all . Your gentle smile will be with us always as we race down the Hill. Thank you Erl! | Our Coach Gaylord Gladwin Ever since the Wednesday league started, Buck Hill has had race training gates at 10 o'clock in the morning. Over the years everyone in our team and all the other teams spent time running the gates with Gaylord at the bottom analyzing our form and trying to help us be the very best racers we could be. But it was more than that over the years; Gaylord got to know us well. He was like a caring father for us, he was there for every race helping the people he had worked with. Gaylord, because of your caring help, we are all better Skiers and Racers. Thank you! |
