Thomas R. Larkin 1928-2016 Age 87 of Eden Prairie, MN Born 7/31/1928, passed away June 4, 2016. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Mary (Harrington) Larkin, brother Jim Larkin and wife Barb, brother-in-law Andy Becwar. Survived by loving companion of many years Gwen Kline. Also survived by children Anna Marie (Dave) Bailey, Leo (Cathi) Larkin, Patricia (Earl) Green, Jane (Harald) Kihm, Katie (Van) Johnson, Mary Larkin, grandchildren Michele (Scott) Hessian, Danielle Baily, Jake and Connor Larkin, Hendrix and Coletrane Johnson, Kyle, Dylan and Scott Kihm, great grandson David Hessian. Tom enjoyed tennis, golf, skiing, travel and Ullr Ski club. He loved life, family, friends and his patients. He practiced dentistry over 45 years following 2 years service in the USAF Dental Corps. Graduate of Campion College HS in Regina, Saskatchewan. He then spent 2 years at Creighton U and 2 years at St. Thomas College, graduating with a B.S. in 1949. Following 1 year at the U of MN he entered the U of MN Dental School where he graduated in 1954. During his years of practice he served as the President of several organizations including: MN Children Dental Society, Mpls Torch Club, Mpls SW Suburban Sierra Club, Mpls, District Dental Society (Guest of Honor recipient), Thomas was a lifetime member of: ADA, MDS and MDDS. Memorial Service 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2016. Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN 55347. Visitation 10AM. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet, MN. Memorials preferred to the Larkin/Harrington Scholarship Fund at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN.
