Theodore William Martin, age 69, of Venice, Florida, passed away on May 15, 2012. He was born on December 13, 1942 in Littlefork, Minnesota.  Theodore worked in the insurance industry as an underwriting consultant until his retirement in 2007 when he then moved to Venice.  He was a member of the Midwest Rails, Northern Minnesota Railroad Heritage Association, Gulf Coast Railroaders and Mesa Grande Railroad.  He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Venice Presbyterian Church. Theodore is survived by his wife of 21 years, Deborah Gens; two sons, Brian Gens of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Matthew (Jessica) Gens of Butterfield, Minnesota; a brother, Robert Martin of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota and a nephew, Andrew (Marina) Martin of Woodside, California. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Sarah, Tori, Ezra and a great-niece, Chiara. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Venice Presbyterian Church.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Echo Farms, 17391 Durrance Road, Ft. Myers, Florida 33917 (www.echonet.org) or to Agape Flights, 100 Airport Avenue E., Venice, Florida 34285 (www.agapeflights.com).  Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
