Kay Sterling, a very long time ULLR member peacefully passed last Wednesday, November 4th at near 88 years old.  She contentedly wished to make that final journey to meet her God in heaven.  Kay contributed greatly to the ULLR Club since joining in the mid 1970s and was ULLR of the Year in 1980.  She had a strong talent for organizing subsequently creating a successful meeting planning business, Creative Concepts. 
     
Upon retirement and a move to Florida, she joined an international travel club  which she completely reorganized along ULLR lines to the delight of members.  As my very close friend, she contributed vast experiences of travel and knowledge I would never have had without her.  We shared over forty years of joys, challenges and a closeness I will always treasure.  I feel privileged to have counted her as a friend.
   
Per her instructions Kay will be cremated with no funeral celebration.  As a final wish, next spring Kay's ashes will be spread at Lake Harriet by family with close friends in attendance.  Myself and others will organize a picnic in Kay's honor that same day for family and friends wishing to attend.
   
If you desire, Kay's family has approved that memorials be donated to the ULLR Foundation.
