It is with great sadness for me to tell you that my husband, John Nelson, of Pepin, WI and Venice, Fl passed away on Sunday.  There will be a celebration of his life this Sat, 7/23 from 3 - 5:30 pm. at our home in Pepin, WI.  John so loved Pepin and he wanted his friends to enjoy it with him.  So please come to celebrate his life and to say "goodbye" to Pepin.  Be casual and bring lawn chairs.  Please bring some bars or cookies to share.  Beverages, sandwiches, chips, and fruit will be provided.
        
Pepin is the birthplace of Laura Ingalls Wilder and John and I were involved in "Laura Days" for over 13 years.  One of John's last wishes was that a terrace in front of the stage could be provided at the park for people to sit and watch the fiddle contest and other entertainment.  I would like to make that wish possible for him.  If you care to contribute to a memorial for him and help with the terrace, please make a check out to the Pepin Hill Free Church, and in the memo line, write "terrace memorial".  If you wish to mail it, send it to me.
