Donald R. 'Don' Cooke   December 9th, 1929 - February 11, 2024

Donald R. 'Don' Cooke Cooke, Donald R. "Don" Age 94 of Anoka MN, passed away on February 11, 2024 at 8:12 a.m. Don was born on December 9th, 1929 in Duluth MN, the 2nd of 2 children to Raymond & Selma Cooke. After graduating from High School in Superior WI, he married the love of his life, Judith "Judy". Don went on to serve in the National Guard, followed by 3 years in the Army (1951-53). In 1958 Don moved his family to Fridley MN where they resided for 50 years before settling in Anoka MN. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith; parents, Raymond & Selma; & sister, Lorraine. Survived by daughters, Donna & Susan (Steve); grandchildren, Shanna, Nicholas (Pam) & Taylor (Nicole); great grandchildren, Marley, Charlotte, Willow & a host of wonderful friends & neighbors. A Celebration of Life will be held for Don on Friday, March 1st, at the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE in Fridley. Visitation begins at 10:00, with the service at 11:00 & a light lunch following. As published in the StarTribune on February 25, 2024
