Brum, Robert P. (89) died September 18, 2021 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease, leaving family and many friends.  He was born on November 15, 1931 in Lincoln, NE to parents, Peter Brum and Charlotte Strackbein Brum. 
    
Preceded in death were his parents and his sisters, Marie Bremberg (Vernon), Leah Hametz (George) and Lydia Brum.
    
He is survived by his forty year companion, Kay Hawbaker and his two sons, Paul Jacobsen and Jon David Jacobsen (Tonya) and granddaughter, Haley.  Also, Leah's daughter, Charlene Hametz Meyer and her husband, Lloyd Meyer and their three children and five grandchildren.
    
He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a BA in Fine Arts and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.  He joined ROTC and was called for a two year service in the Air Force.
    
He realized a childhood dream of working for Walt Disney as an Animator on "Sleeping Beauty" for four years after his graduation.
    
He worked for the advertizing company, Campbell-Mithum, later Campbell-Mithum-Esty until he in retired in 1996.  In retirement he worked part time in the pro shop of a golf club until 2010.
    
He was President of ULLR Ski Club in Minnesota and organized several ski trips to Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France.  He went on two church missions to Russia.
    
A memorial service at a later date.

It is an affiliate of the Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson's Disease which gave much energy, encouragement, and acceptance in the last years of his life.
