| Oktoberfest MN State Fairgrounds Ten ULLRS joined in at the 14th annual Oktoberfest festivities at the Historic Progress Center at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on October 5. Every year they offer an entirely local event that included beer, from local breweries, food, music and other entertainment. They welcomed back this year three bands well-versed in traditional German Oktoberfest music. A variety of brats and German potato salad, as well as German pretzels, savory sweet pies, and candied bacon were among the food choices. Outside a huge tent with contemporary music was played, with a chance to do some AX Throwing or playing Cornhole. Food trucks offered other varieties of food. An enjoyable afternoon! Karen |
