Hike at Schaar’s Bluff Trail near Hastings On May 15, 12 ULLR’s enjoyed a beautiful 2.7mile hike at Schaar’s Bluff near Hastings. Our hike led us onto a wooded trail along the Mississippi River. At one point we descended 55 rugged steps down into a ravine near the water. After the hike everyone drove into Hastings for lunch at the American Legion. We enjoyed the outdoor patio overlooking the Mighty Mississippi. Our wonderful hike ended with an eagle flying over the river, giving us a nod to end our great day of being with friends and enjoying the great outdoors. Karen Holmquist and Kyle McClintick |
