On Tuesday, December 8, five ULLR members braved wintery weather and roads to attend the Marine sponsored Toys for Tots portion of the KARE11 Television News Broadcast. Members participating in the broadcast were: Colleen Barden, Diane Erlandson, Erl Erlandson, and Vicki Johnson. In spite of everyone allowing extra travel time due to the weather to get to KARE11, Diane and Erl arrived with only minutes to spare, and Nancy Sand arrived a few minutes too late but on time to take some photos. President Diane Erlandson represented ULLRs during the broadcast. During our November general meeting and our holiday ball, we collected $525 and ten bags of toys and games which were all delivered by Nancy Sand to the Toys for Tots tent at KARE11 in Golden Valley. Thanks to all ULLRs who donated toys and money to help make a brighter Christmas for many children. |
